We are seeking a postdoctoral fellow to join the Precision Medicine Research Program at Baruch S. Blumberg Institute in partnership with Capital Health System, Inc. to perform research toward the discovery and development of cell-free RNA and/or DNA-based biomarkers for chronic viral infections and cancer. We are particularly interested in the development of assays for accurate quantification of hepatitis B virus DNA integrations and assays for early detection of liver cancer.

• PhD or MD/PhD in virology, cancer biology, biochemistry or pathology is required.
• Extensive research experience in molecular biology and RNA/DNA-based assay development is required.
• Experience in genomics and bioinformatics is preferred.
• Strong skills in writing scientific publications and grant proposals are highly desired.
