The Baruch S. Blumberg Institute extends invitations to distinguished virologists, medicinal chemists, and drug discovery and development experts who have retired from prestigious universities or leading pharmaceutical companies. They have been appointed as Distinguished Professors to mentor our young faculty members and offer consultation and guidance throughout our preclinical to clinical drug development endeavors.
Our adjunct faculty comprises scientists with academic and industry backgrounds in numerous fields associated with and related to the research and education programs at the Blumberg Institute.
Support Groundbreaking Research at the Blumberg Institute
The Blumberg Institute is at the forefront of groundbreaking research to understand the hepatitis B virus, develop better treatments, and ultimately find a cure. Our scientists also are pioneering non-invasive methods to diagnose cirrhosis and liver cancer at earlier, more treatable stages.
Despite our incredible progress, much work remains. With 300 million people worldwide living with hepatitis B and at risk for cirrhosis and liver cancer, accelerating our research is crucial. This life-saving work depends on generous support from donors like you. Your contribution can advance our research and potentially save millions of lives.
Please consider donating today to support our vital mission.
Your generosity empowers the Blumberg Institute, Hepatitis B Foundation and Pennsylvania Biotechnology Center to offer transformative education programs for high school students and undergraduate research fellows. These young minds work alongside top scientists and entrepreneurs, engaging in groundbreaking research that can shape their future careers in the life sciences.
Thanks to a very generous donor, the Sunrise Education Fund helps sustain and expand these impactful programs. Your gift can put lab coats on students, ignite their passion for science, and launch their careers in the life sciences!
