The Hepatitis B Foundation, with partial funding provided by the Pennsylvania Education Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC), encourages students ages 16 and older interested in learning about life sciences research, biotechnology, and/or public health to participate in this two-week program. Presented within the context of hepatitis B and liver disease, students will complete the scientific process, design and execute hands-on experimental projects using molecular biology techniques, and attend professional seminars to learn from industry experts.
The Baruch S. Blumberg Institute partners with each of the three high schools within the Central Bucks School District to offer a daily, on-site AP Chemistry class at the Pennsylvania Biotechnology Center’s teaching lab. Students enrolled in the class are also assigned mentors to help them complete independent research projects.
