Topics in Drug Design Lecture Series

Distinguished Professsor, Nick Meanwell

The Topics in Drug Design series offers valuable insights into compound design and molecular recognition. Originating from a collaboration with renowned medicinal chemist and educator, Distinguished Professor Nick Meanwell, the series began when he transitioned to BMS Princeton. Blumberg seized the opportunity to host in-person lectures by Nick, aimed at enhancing medicinal chemistry skills within the PABC, primarily at Blumberg and Arbutus. This unique offering is particularly beneficial for startups, setting PABC apart as the sole provider of such a program. Moving forward, we aim to broaden the scope by occasionally featuring local chemists with expertise in medicinal chemistry and synthetic skills, enriching the perspectives shared. Scheduled at 4pm to avoid conflicting with ongoing research, we invite and encourage chemists to join us for these invaluable learning opportunities, fostering continuous growth and advancement within the chemistry community.
Organizer: Distinguished Professor Patrick Lam, Baruch S. Blumberg Institute
